Classes
Check back often as we add new classes regularly. Students must register and pay in advance. You can register here online, in the store, or over the phone at 352-379-1272. Any cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to class time for a refund. All classes include up to $10 worth of supplies, unless otherwise stated in the class description.
HAMMERED WIRE CUFF (5-21-13)
Tuesday, May 21st – 6pm
Beginner / Intermediate
In this class you will create a sculpted and hammered wire bracelet cuff and embellish it with your personal selection of beads. This fun and whimsical design is perfect for learning some basic forging techniques and a great way to use up all your left over beads from other projects.
This project requires sufficient hand strength, to shape, bend and hammer heavy gauge wire.

SOLDERED WINDOW PENDANT (5-22-13)
Wednesday, May 22nd at 6pm
Learn how to make adorable glass pendants. Using glass and solder, we will create unique double sided pendants using pictures, stamps, embossing tools and a variety of papers and backgrounds! Delve into this popular mixed media jewelry form! Beginner/Intermediate

BASIC NECKLACE (5-23-13)

A wonderful class to learn about design, cord, clasps, and putting it all together. Everyone will make a uniquely designed necklace.
Class fee includes up to $10 worth of supplies.

SILVER METAL CLAY BEYOND BASICS (5-25-13)
SATURDAY, May 25th – 10:30am
Intermediate
Further explore the versatility of this exciting medium, Silver Metal Clay also known as Art Clay!
Using glass, cz, prong settings and sculpting techniques, to create a fabulous pendant or earrings. This class is designed for people who have taken at least one class in art clay or precious metal clay only. Come with ideas but rest assured we have plenty of props to get you going.
Your class fee includes up to 10 grams of metal clay and all other tools and supplies needed to make a piece of jewelry no larger than a quarter.
Please be aware that some pieces are fired with a torch on the premises and you can go home with a finished piece.
Others pieces (like ones with glass) will be fired in a kiln over night and mailed to you the next day.

Swirling Beaded Cabachon (5-27-13)
Monday, May 27th at 6pm
Select a cabochon to wrap with thick gauge wires and a delicate selection of beads. Use sterling, gold fill, copper or brass wire and a stone of your choice. Familiarize yourself with techniques working with both thick and thin gauge wires and creating a totally unique and striking pendant wrap.

Celtic Knot Wire Earrings (5-29-13)
Wednesday, May 29th at 6pm
Learn to manipulate wire into a wonderful Celtic knot form! Get some great experience with forging techniques creating both the knot and the dangle. Work with a bench block, chasing hammer, bailing pliers and the wire of your choice to make a creative Celtic piece.

BEADED CHAIN LINK NECKLACE (5-30-13)
Thursday, May 30th – 6pm
Learn how to connect beads to chain securely using the loop and wrap method. This technique looks great long or short, fine or chunky – the possibilities are endless! A great beginner class.
