Classes
Check back often as we add new classes regularly. Students must register and pay in advance. You can register here online, in the store, or over the phone at 352-379-1272. Any cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to class time for a refund. All classes include up to $10 worth of supplies, unless otherwise stated in the class description.
Swirling Beaded Cabachon (5-27-13)
Monday, May 27th at 6pm
Select a cabochon to wrap with thick gauge wires and a delicate selection of beads. Use sterling, gold fill, copper or brass wire and a stone of your choice. Familiarize yourself with techniques working with both thick and thin gauge wires and creating a totally unique and striking pendant wrap.

Celtic Knot Wire Earrings (5-29-13)
Wednesday, May 29th at 6pm
Learn to manipulate wire into a wonderful Celtic knot form! Get some great experience with forging techniques creating both the knot and the dangle. Work with a bench block, chasing hammer, bailing pliers and the wire of your choice to make a creative Celtic piece.

BEADED CHAIN LINK NECKLACE (5-30-13)
Thursday, May 30th – 6pm
Learn how to connect beads to chain securely using the loop and wrap method. This technique looks great long or short, fine or chunky – the possibilities are endless! A great beginner class.

Riveted Steampunk Gear Cuff (6-3-13)
Monday, June 3 at 6pm
Explore riveting in this creative new steampunk inspired class! Using metal gear blanks and watch faces, create a cuff of overlapping pieces that will be riveted together. Use a mixture of pliers and mandrels to shape the cuff and add a clasp. Voila! A unique and imaginative industrial bracelet that will leave you making perfect rivets!

SQUARE WIRE RING (6-4-13)

You will be working with square wire to sculpt a ring and embellish it with beads. This is a lovely, classic ring band design with many variations to the theme.

WIRE WRAPPED CRYSTAL PENDANT (6-5-13)

In this class we will explore some techniques used in wire wrapping crystals points and tumbled, odd shaped stones. Bring your own special crystals or choose from ours and go home wearing your lovely pendant.

Learn the basics of earring design using headpins, wire and beads. Create several pairs of lovely and unique earrings. Beginner

KUMIHIMO BEADED BRACELET (6-8-13)

beginner/intermediate
Learn not only this Japanese form of braiding cord, but learn to do it with beads! With seed beads and cord, we will create a bracelet on the kumihimo disc. Attach cones and clasp, and you’ll leave with a fun spiraling beaded and braided bracelet!
Class fee includes a Kumihimo board, beads and cord. Findings are extra.

ETCHING AND EMBOSSING (6-10-13)
Monday, June 10th, 6pm.
All Levels
Explore etching and embossing! Both these techniques enable you to create raised designs on your copper or brass metals. Etching uses chemicals to achieve the raised effect whereas embossing is a fun and quick way of adding both texture and color! You’ll make TWO pieces in this class, either pendants or earrings. Your choice! Come have fun learning two totally different techniques that add a very personal touch to your jewelry. Plus, all the materials used are things anyone could easily set up in their own kitchen or craft room.
